  1. You may need to create custom materials if the ones you want aren't in the library. (ie the T-Stud or Rockwool) Steve has you covered on the strapping. Sometimes I just use "Opening (No Material)" for a rainscreen I simulate Zip-R with the OSB material and the Insulation Foam material.
  2. If this application is to protect I-Joist floor framing then joints are not required to have tape or compound. Have a look at page 3: I Joist Fire Protection.pdf
  3. You can take care of the roof edge within the dialog box for the roof and 2nd floor room. The vertical edge of the wall might be best done with a pslid. Here are the dbx settings to fix the roof:

  6. There is one in the "Design Style No.1 Maximalism / Biophilia" library https://www.chiefarchitect.com/3d-library/index.php?r=site/detail/1148 It's named "Sigmund" instead of Eames

  8. Thanks Steve ! (face palm) I wont mention all the time I spent avoiding obvious solutions.
  9. OK, I'm stumped here. I've created a lowered floor. I would swear in the past that the room divider automatically provided the finish between floor platforms, but I can't figure out how to make it generate. The checkbox for "Generate between flor platforms" is selected. Any ideas how the automate the finish between floor platforms? Floor Platform Gap.zip
  10. I upgraded immediately and never had an issue with X12 crashing.
  11. Chopsaw has your most likely answer above in the 2nd reply.
  12. Make it with a molding polyline. For this one I needed to make a copy of the shingle material and rotate it 90 degrees. Make sure the molding profile for your flare is a closed polyline.
