In today's law suit happy world, that is quite a statement. In my 29 years of the construction business (first 14 mostly as a framing subcontractor/remodeling, last 15 in design/build), it doesn't matter how good of a product/service you provide, there WILL come a time where you'll thank God you have a contract in place! I've also been very lucky and never had a project that went to litigation/court, but we all know there is that 5% of customers (some that even come through referrals), that define why we need contracts. I couldn't imagine doing business without a contract. Although I would gladly do without the additional paperwork!

I would just draw them on top and there would certainly be some editing to show how how it's built. That's me though.....doesn't mean it's the right way!

Used Drop Box for years and never had an issue, don't know what I'd do without it!

Scott- Would you draw a box out the same as a bay manually? If that's the case I think there's plenty out there.

Any tutorials out there for a manual Box Out Window? I can't find anything David- I agree, that box out with the program is pretty useless

Is it possible to add more than one window unit to the standard "box window" in X7? Thx!

Mark- If I uncheck ceiling then I can't raise it up to clip it, or am I missing something else?

Tommy- That's a good idea....I am away from the office today, but will try that when I get back. It reverts pretty quickly (to where I don't want it), so your idea should be helpful. Were you thinking of inserting the invisible walls? Mark- That breezway has a cathedral ceiling, what were you setting it back to?

Thanks for the link David. Been a big fan of Dan for years.....just about learned everything I know from him! That's why I don't understand this. I set all my floors/ceilings/roofs before any interior work, so for this to change after that is confusing. Not to mention this is just a box house.....would expect this to happen on something with a lot of changes in heights.

Hi There, Need help with a room where the settings just won't stay where I want them. The floor continues to drop 4", I reset it (along with the floor covering, carpet matching the other rooms), but the damn thing keeps reverting and dropping. The room dbx pic I posted shoud read "Ceiling B:" 193 1/4" and "Floor C:" 101 1/8" I've had to reset this about 50 times, it really doesn't matter with the customer, it's more pissing me off at this point! If you're feeling crazy.....the inside garage gable is missing a chunk out of it. I continue to snap the roof plane and it cleans it up, but like the hall issue, it then returns. Need to apply to CA

My referral to sale was based on the the conversation within this thread, the email I received from CA used the word "save" (which some could misconstrue as a sale, which it isn't). If you or others (that feel similar) have no issue padding CA's bottom line (whether you feel it's rightful or not), be my guest. I think CA is a great program, I've used it for many years and spent thousands of dollars to do so, but that doesn't mean I'll accept this stuff with a smile on my face.

Hmmm....I always thought a "sale" was a decreased rate of what something is currently priced at, not based on what it will be....such a play on words. Shame on you CA, might want to rethink your PR approach. Then again, this looks like a bargain after seeing the renewal on Solidworks......

Oh my! Going from v9.5 to X6/X7 will be like going from a Tricycle to a Ferrari! You won't believe how you've tortured yourself for years. I always recommend to build your own desktop. If you're even just a bit tech savvy, you can pull it off, and you'll get the most bang for you buck! Good luck!

Unfortunately it's a business and all about the bottom line. In any of my personal interactions with CA over the years, it doesn't matter if you jumped in at X6 or 12 years ago (when I did), you are treated the same...... You would hope there would be some sort of loyalty factor, and in some business there is, but not here (again, based on my own personal experience). Go Pats!

Hi Jon, Thanks for the info. While I can't get that indepth on the techological end (to a point yes, but not what you're describing), I usually go with advice and reviews from others...and for the most part have had success. Does having the SSD in the Lenovo make up for the Asus not having one? I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but am back and forth between the Asus and Lenovo. Hope this is helpful the OP

I haven't made the move yet, but I'm leaning towards the lenovo Y50. The opinions from that forum are from experienced and very knowledgeable people (on the tech side), I've gone there many times for upgrade advice (with success). Hope this helps!
