  1. Hello All, I'm building a deck for a great client and they want Keuka Cable Rail. Chief doesn't have this rail system in the library. Can anyone direct me to where I can download this system,if not how can I make this post and cable rail in Chief. We need to stretch our design wings. See attached photos Vinnie
  2. I found a video in the Chief Architect online training videos. Video number 5415 shows the sequence for drawing a plan.

  4. Great job, I use manual roofs all the time, terrain can be tricky but the more you do it the easier it gets. Vinnie
  5. Are you drawing the roof using automatic roofs?
  6. They're are lots of things in Chief that are just below the surface, tricks here in there that make life easy when using Chief; the more you use the program the more you'll discover.

  13. I want to buy a new computer to run Chief X6, I want enough power to run the program but I don't want to go broke doing it. Any recommendations on CPU memory and video card and brand as well/ I have a Dell XPS and I like it need more power. X6 Dell XPS 8700 Intel Core i7 CPU 870 @ 2.93 Ghz. 8 GB RAM 64 bit OS

I would also recommend signing up for Chief Architects SSA program, CA has tons and tons of training videos that will help you as well, plus you get all the benefits that CA has to offer like upgrades and tech support for short money. LEAN BY DOING is a great option too. Just make up projects and get into them.

  16. The best way to build any roof is by doing the roofs manually, it gives you a lot of control.

  20. Hi, I'm trying to build this deck using cable rail but I can't seem to get the cables to go parallel with the whole rail system, I must be doing something wrong but I don't know what. Please Help. 've attached a jpg. for you to look at. Thanks Vinnie Using X6
