Walls frame up to the sheeting (or soffit in this case) OK using your and Scott's technique in the video that Chop found but the rafters don't show.

It all looks OK as in the walls build to the 'soffits' but the rafters don't show. Interesting? Dunno.

Thanks Chop. Found the info at 1:17:45 but can't get the settings to affect X14 in the same way. Perhaps it worked that way in X10 as in the video? Dunno but the roof rafters don't show when using the same settings in X14.

Looks like X15 addresses and fixed this issue.

Is there an auto setting to get the walls to fill in above exposed rafter tails? Or is it necessary to pull up each wall manually?

Rob, I think you have decide on looking ugly from where? From a 3D Chief Full Perspective Overview, or Goggle Maps? Or from the ground where everyone will actually see or not see the roof 'cricket'? A simple horizontal roof plane 'cricket' will solve the water problem and should be virtually impossible to see from the ground.

Thanks Michael but that's a bit over my pay scale.

Sent the problem to tech support and they were able to duplicate the problems with no current fix. Two things. The foundation curb width only builds to footing width no matter the 'Slab Footing Defaults' setting. Second, the footing builds to the roof depending on which surface or layer the pony wall is located. Referred to the development team.

...and a few posts on their facebook page regarding the IBS and KIBS show happening now. Are they demonstrating X15 at the show? Hard to imagine as it's still in pre-beta so maybe just a skinny reveal of those few features is in order for now?

Does anyone else find it a bit strange that we are learning of some of X15's new features from an online article instead of from Chief itself?

Yes, it will be 'released' in the spring but wouldn't the 'demonstration', going on as this is written, show case X15's new features? And will that demonstration be showing only a few new features as described in the (and the accompanying) article or will the entire suite of new features be demonstrated? And if many new features will be introduced at the KBIS show I'm just wondering if those same new features will be 'introduced' (not released) to Chief's user base? Pretty exciting as always...

I just noticed one of the articles was dated Jan 23rd and suggested X15 will be introduced during this year's KBIS which starts today Jan 31 through Feb 2nd. So I'm guessing that if the new features in X15 will be introduced there that those new features might also be introduced to its users as well?  

Is this a similar situation? The foundation walls are also building to the roof above. Not sure without seeing the plan, which would help the helpers here, but I sent my plan in to tech as I couldn't figure it out.

Hi Jeet. It's not clear what you are trying to accomplish? Is that a raised flat area within the datum field? Chief has a very complex method of calculating such things and the task you've presented is above my pay grade. Hopefully others can help.
