In Older Versions of Chief you couldn't Copy Cameras AFAIR, so maybe that is the issue?

What's stopping you?
My brain! Your question makes me believe I must be missing something obvious.

Have you tried File>Back up entire plan ?
Not sure what that would do. I need to copy an old plan into a new template.

Hello,
I have continually updated (exported) my layers, defaults, etc and imported them into older jobs where I am using the older plan for a new job. However, there are things I have done with my .plan template (always fine tuning) that have other things I would like to have for a new drawing. I even tried to copy the plan floor to paste into a new plan, but that does not work.
When I draw condos, I use an existing plan, copy and rename for a new drawing. It would be nice as I learn more and fine tune things to have those things available.
What do others do to accomplish this?

Steven,
The first error was because you hadn't selected an object that had a width. Nil Class indicates that there's no object to evaluate.
These macros supplied by Chief do not have "error handling" so they require that they reference only objects that have the attributes width or height. That can also cause an error to occur.
When I create a macro I include "error handling" so that the macro will either:
- report why it failed --- example: No Object Selected to Evaluate
- or return simply a blank string
- or return a value of zero
It depends on what the macro is supposed to do. I try to anticipate what the user needs to see in order to know what to return.
Ah! I understand. Thank you

Here is a final update on what I did...

So I think I am all back to working again, but again, can anyone else verify that FormatterHeightSixteenths does in fact show obj.depth. I changed it to obj.height and now it is working.

Since I've only ever needed to do this after the fact, just like you're doing here, this was my solution, but as Ryan suggests, if you insert the original sink in this way you won't need double sinks. They really should let the sink remain on the original layer.
I believe he IS using reference set Joe... the problem is you need to have the base cabinet layer turned on in order to show the sinks in those cabinets. If you don't want to show the base cabinet then you're SOL without a 2nd sink. I don't know why the sink layer needs to change...
I will remember that down the road if I use this again. Thank you

If you need/use material list etc. then this will muck it up, but you can insert another sink(s) free-standing then move it into position over the embedded sink and it will maintain it's layer.

I am using this method - works fineThank you!

I was thinking of that but wanted to avoid the extra steps.

A bit of searching should find the thread -- foundation fixtures reference.
I will look into this -
Thank you all! -
See video below.
My Fixtures, Interior is set on to show these details in my foundations where I am planning a slab foundation. I like to show and dimension these fixtures so that all the plumbing is installed in the right plan per the main floor plan view overlaying the foundation.

A sink by itself is set to Fixtures, Interior, but once in a cabinet it changes to CAD, Default
Thank you,
Steve
Import plan into new .plan template

Yes, so if you have sections (section lines) in your floor it will do nothing. Once I shut the layer off it worked. Thank you for that info!!
