  1. Does anyone know how to turn glass into a solid so that in Line Drawing camera mode you cannot see thru it?

There are Louvers as a Window Type, but the material seems to be glass and yet you cannot see through the louver panels, only the gaps.

Now and then I like to use a window as a panel for under a window, but when I show my model in Line Drawing you can see thru it.

    Thoughts?

No , at least not that I am aware of , we had to ask nicely to get that list back a couple of versions ago when they moved all the Patterns to the Library.

You can still import Patterns , for example from AutoCAD through the Import Dialog too if needed.

Yes, I did see I can import from AutoCAD which is fine, so I guess I will add that to the suggestions. Thank you

  3. Is there a place where I can set the hatch patterns as default in the dropdown? I do use a few in there but most I do not and always need to go find the one I want. Would be nice to fill this dropdown with the patterns I use.

    Thank you,

    Steve

Ya, this one isn't new.  I reported it a while back and apparently this is by design and something people use.  I suspect some people open the library browser only occasionally and that they want to simultaneously grab what they need and then close the library browser back down.

Ah! got it - Thank you!

Please be sure to send tech support the actual plan files and not just the videos.  Also, it is helpful to report only one issue (or at least related issues) at a time.

We have already fixed a number of issues in X13 related to working with saved plan views and being able (or not able) to select things because they were turned on/off or locked/unlocked in other saved plan views.  What you are showing in your first video looks like a new but possibly related issue.  We will need to work with your actual files to see if we can duplicate this problem.

I sent a backup of the file I was working on as a zip, and I sent it as a new separate issue. Thank you

So, this seems to be a bug to me.  I figured out the same thing as Michael Mentions that it has to do with the footing in particular.  Playing with another wall I figured out that if you remove the footing for the wall, close, refresh and then put it back then the door works fine.

Yes, that is what I got as well. But I have messed with my default walls for X13 so want to just make new walls and see if it is an issue. Thank you for looking!

Its being caused by the Foundation Wall setting.

Yes, I see. hmmm. I use the same walls for X12. But removing the footing did fix the floor. Thank you, I will look more into this

It looks like you may have a paint layer in your wall definition based on the video but not the same in the posted screen shot for some reason but that does not account for the sill issues.

I agree. I took the screen shot earlier and the when I was doing the video I was shocked at how it was looking. But on the second floor all is fine.

I did mess with my walls and work to perfect things yesterday for X13. X12 is all fine so I might have some defaults not set up yet.
