I used a room divider wall segment turned into a railing. That when moved into the doorway killed the doorway unless the "No Room Def" was checked.

I think you also need to check "No Room Definition"

One more issue. Need railing is door opening. If I add railing via the deck menu the door opening is deleted.

OK got the molding to return to the wall under the opening. It required that I use 3D molding and draw it in plan view 2nd floor out in the front yard. Draw a short leg then the long leg followed by another short leg to return back to the wall. The hard part is maneuvering it into place. I switched to front elevation to get correct height. Then used right side elevation to move it to the wall. I guess from the lack of replies that the Stool or Apron is not accessible to the user.

Got the molding added but can't seem to wrap the end of the molding like on a window sill? Also on the Windows I wanted a different apron & thicker sill. How is that accomplished?

The door one above the other worked fine but I am struggling to put molding around the openings. I'm off to watch a few videos.

What is the best way to punch a hole in the wall for the hatched area. It is an irregular shape & I want to maintain the room/floor area. I suppose you don't want to interrupt the exterior wall so you can maintain a room. The wall is 8" CMU, the window is actually 8' back on an interior wall.

Odd, I get the message that I can not open the PLAN as it is a newer version. But I check online & it says I have the latest X6 software.

Scott, see if you can work with this ACAD file. Each letter is a block. If so did you want a different font? 3D_TEXT.zip

OK you did something different in the settings because my plan is still hazy.

Hard for me to see what all has been done not knowing all the functions or where to find them. I see you turned all the light back on & casting shadows. Floor & dark furniture set reflective to very low setting. Trying my Ray Trace now. Doesn't look like you changed any of those settings. PS Wow, using your drawing version ray trace on pass 3 at 4 min 30 sec and much better image. Off to try my drawing with changes to lighting & reflective materials.

Rich, nice detail. Difficult to see what connectors are needed without more of the structure. Uplift, if present must be transferred to the column (post) and to the floor system (foundation). Note that the floor must be solid concrete or you need to create a bearing pad & uplift resistance. Not knowing how old this Farm House is the structure can vary quite a bit. See attached for some connector ideas to consider. Just exploring the options.

So are you changing the material in the Catalog or just the Plan File?

Thanks for the tips, the lights were easy enough to turn off but the room is a bit dark. I was able to find the floor material. I assume that because I broke the main area into Entry, Living, Dining & kitchen using Room Divider Walls I will need to adjust each one of the Materials separately? Plan attached. McGucken-8.zip

Can you turn all lights off with one setting or switch?

At the risk of sounding really ignorant, how does one do that? This is my 4th or 5th attempt at Ray-trace so I can't find half of these settings.

Raytrace 10 passes in about 30 min & the other 10 hours with different floor color.. What makes the haze washed out look?
