  1. Thanks Joe. I was thinking the pony wall would be easiest to create but may not give me enough control of where the glass sets on the wall. The 3D Symbol sounds like the most flexible option with placement & stretch ability but out of reach with my current skill level. I will attempt it if time permits. Those molding plines are a PITA to move around on elevations but that may be the way I go first.
  2. How would you go about creating this glass & Steel divider? It will likely set on top of a counter top or perhaps a half wall. Obviously it need not be exactly as shown. Just a easy method to create & manage in the drawing.
  3. Thanks for your time Dennis, I think I did not set the frame width but did set separation to 0.
  4. Thanks Joe, My knowledge is so limited I don't see all the options yet. But things are getting better. Here it is with a 1/16 arch, that was the key all along. I'm just roughing things out so all the openings & knee walls are not correct yet.
  5. Joe, what did you use to fill in above the half wall?
  6. Yes, but I figured out what is going on. When you add an arch to one of the doorways it will join. That's what Scott was using. Here is a 0.25 arch
  7. Well half wall still has a partition. Is there a min, separation for doors? Don't like the fact that I now have to build a soffit to fill in above the opening left by the half wall. Scott, wake up. The sun should be coming up in California about now. I'm pretty sure Scott was using door ways & the video was to help someone with arched or round top doorways & thick walls as I remember.
  8. I changed back to a window pass through with min. seperation set to zero & still has a partition. Joe, I will try the half wall.
  9. No joy, I tried that first.
  10. I have seen a S Hall video on this but can't for the life of me find it again. Trying to remove the partition so the raised doorway actually joins the full doorway to eliminate the partition. Point me in the direction please. Thanks
  11. AMD here, tried the 2 pixels but it is too bold and changes the way play view is displayed. Not a good solution.
  12. Yes I did but looks like more have been added for X7. Thanks
  13. Yes I can roll my own, but it is a tedious task locating all those nick knacks. I'm more of a structural designer & fall short on the interior furnishings. I leave most of those task to my wife. Thanks Joe
  14. Anyone have a source for more Grouped rooms like bathrooms & maybe a pantry?
  15. I made Flood Port out of a window & put this Window on a different layer. Now I want the label for this window on a different layer. Where is that layer setting hiding?
  16. Yes I know Shift+F11 or click on the Object snap Icon but doesn't the Ctrl key supposed to suspend object snaps. There should be continuity between commands & procedures.
  17. Ok I want to use the measure tool without snaps from tile to time. Why can't I use the Ctrl+click to measure? Am I missing something?

  19. Use text at a height you need. Try this ()()()()()()()()()() or this \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
  20. I think I had success modifying stem wall heights using the settings: Default Settings / Floor BUT all the Rooms had to be set to Default for this to work. So if the rooms are not set to default on any setting you want to change in mass, you need to do it one by one. There is no way to select all the rooms on one floor that I have found. And if you do select all using the one select then Shift click to select the others you can not change the settings. I have found it difficult to deal with these issues. The videos only deal with easy problems. my2cents
  21. Yes, interaction with the client and last minute discoveries of factors that need to be dealt with require changed in the outside envelope & may change the floor heights. I have a multi level remodel that had the floor height changed due to bad site info. Then the client wanted taller ceiling in some rooms. It is not real world to know all factors when starting the design.
  22. Monster dead lifts Justin, keep up the good work. I'm putting together a PCpartsPicker list from your list to see if I can finagle it down to my price range. Thanks for all the great info.
  23. You've done well. I was a smooth 265 back then & did see 200 again back in 1998 but I love to eat:) 235 now & only play tennis 2-3 time a week. Sorry to hear about the injuries, I think being too lean can lead to some injuries when your pushing that kind of weight. We had a weightlifting club training out of a garage, although it was well equipped for power lifting. With 6 to 8 guys training there was a lot of competition. I hung with two friends and both stronger than I so I was always motivated. Gary was a dead lifting fool topping out at 800! 660 squat & 420 bench. Dennis dead was 700 & 680 squat & 500 bench. All of us in the heavy class Dennis 275 and Gary was about 225. He did look like a body builder. All of us 6' tall. Others in the group were pretty good & we won State club championship. One other Vick at 180 could dead 600, bench 405 & squat 550. Quite the Mighty Mouse. Good times were had back then. Thanks for taking me back. Take care of those injuries as they can stay with your for life. later. Back to work
  24. BTW Justin in my youth (26 now 67) I too power lifted. Bench 440 Squat 500 Dead lift 580
