Ok great , my post was actually directed at Rich  who offered the File .....

Mick my man, you are honest to a fault. :)

I was one of apparently only three who bought the

latest available version from Charles. As I recall

shortly after that the trail to Kerry Francis went cold.

    With him unavailable and/or unresponding I don't

have a problem passing it along (for free) to interested

    parties.

If someone finds a current source, then by all means

go that route. It was well worth the $20 asking price

    I paid.

  2. I don't want to step on anybody's toes, but if

this software is no longer being offered for

sale, I don't have a problem with giving it out

to people who would like it. It's just a small

    (6.3 Mb) executable file.

I think mine look better. You can't get the turns (2" and 4" rads) in CA IMO as easy as I do in SU. No Plugins, Just the Push Pull tool. Takes a couple minutes. Not only that, (not that I've tried) I don't think you can change direction from for example, an A elbow to a B elbow in one shot.

You can accomplish what you need from within

Chief using 3D molding polylines and creating

your own molding cross sections for different

downspout styles. Here are some examples

    from way back in X6 & X7.

  4. A 2D image of a vanity would probably be a tough

sell in a 3D view (given placement of the image and

camera angles, etc.), but I often incorporate 2D pics

    into 3D views.

Similar to what Graham's doing in his example, in

this image the leaded, beveled and frosted glass in

the front door is a photo of the actual front door glass

and the young lady is also a 2D image.

  5. Well I say let's get them back again, dadgummit.

On a similar note how long have we been

able to rescind / revoke / reverse / remove,

dare I say undo reputation points we have

    previously given out?

Not sure I care for this feature. I'm more of

"a card laid is a card played" type of guy.

  6. Hey Eric. Thanks for taking a look at this.

I couldn't get the viewer to work. When I

drag in a calibz file nothing happens.

    I don't think this approach (or Glenn's

which I also tried) is going to accomplish

what I need because I don't get an image

of the item itself. I want to see a preview

like what is displayed in the Library Browser.

  7. So, over time I have accumulated a sizable

folder of calibz files that I mainly downloaded

here on the forum. I never actually imported

them into my User Catalog because that's

already bloated. How the heck can I preview

these files to determine if I want to import

them or not? As you can see from the image

there is no preview available in the Import

    Library Data DBX.

....Baraca the Black Rhino and I became friends....

Dude! Are we supposed to believe that

those 2 strands (of what is that, twine)

are going to stop a charging rhino? Yikes!

  9. I went ahead and opened your plan in X11

and opened camera #2. Unfortunately there

are some missing textures but I went ahead

and ran a 5 pass ray trace without touching

    any of the settings.

I then opened the X11 plan in X12 and ran

a second ray trace. As you can see, for me,

the images are essentially the same and the

levels of light seem the same.

... I got cut off for a while there but I got back in later, not sure what happened.

How did you get back in Perry?

I got a window saying the session had been ended

right when Scott was trying to hand the screen view

over to someone who had a terrain issue. Couldn't

get past the message without exiting. When I tried

to use the original link in the email to connect again

it said the meeting ID was no longer any good and

    I was SOL. :(

Low-tech man here... I assume this requires participants to have a microphone?

You can follow along ok without a mic,

you just won't be able to be heard by

others (of course you need a speaker

to hear others). As I recall you can type

in responses but don't hold me to that.

Just get yourself a cheapo headset and

    you'll be good to go.

Does anyone know what the best tool to use for 360 exterior fly around/over is?  I know if you use the line tool for the interior you can get the camera to go room to room using the camera record tool.  What Im looking for is a 360 rotate around the exterior of the house and maybe different heights like maybe the camera starts at the first floor and by the time it circles back around to the starting point it might be up closer to the third floor for a complete view?

Here is a simple walkthrough path that accomplishes what you are attempting to do.

I completely agree. I have tried to point everything to use the Nvidia but to no success. Is it possible that I may have to remove the onboard card?

While I have never actually tried this approach,

you could try disabling the onboard card using

the Window's "Device Manager". This back-up

computer only has one video card so only one

adapter shows in the attached image, but your

Device Manager should show both of your

Display Adapters. Select the one you don't want

    and hit the Disable button.

    Looks good on paper.
