You may click the Spherical Panoramic Backdrop, find a good wide photo. -
Avoid Photon Mapping with your interior scenes. Use Environment Light instead.

Okay, Chief can add this feature if they think this is vital. No problem. Hope they are following this thread and want to hear their opinion as well.

Spot on.

Use this settings: McGucken.zip
-
It really is washed out even with lights turned on.
-
You have to turn on shadows.
-
It is easier and realistic too aside from being accurate. Material Region will cut automatically where there are openings.
-
Just deselect "Floor Under this Room".
-
Try default floor finish (k) = Zero.
-
Just apply Material Region in the Cross Section/Elevation view, adjust width/depth in the mat region Edit. Then use Multiple Copy to scatter.
-
Chief has given us Material Region exactly for that.

Why Does The Default Stainless Steel Look So Dark?

Hi Kirk, Yes it works fine. Please suggest to the content team to add Blur (Gloss) property to the material class settings. This must be functional to RTs with or without using photons. We can use this to any surface like metals, wood, walls. What I would do at the moment is to apply a customized bumpmap to blur reflections. Attached is a Phoebe RT without photon. The hood is a mirror with bumpmap. It looks right from a distance... -
