  1. turn on the reference layer so that 2 levels are showing and you may spot where a wall ia out of alignment, it may be only a mm or 2 .I see you have a couple of thick walls it may be in that area.

It is easy to get that message if you are dragging walls around or just roughing out the second level. There is a wall alignment tool that will line each wall up when you click on it, line up with either above or below depending on the button.

  2. I have found that I only get the message if the walls are within maybe 80mm? of alignment normally use 90mm and 140mm walls. So maybe there is a setting somewhere or a discrepancy between metric and inches??

  3. I use a slight variation on steves method. I show the doors with the required number of leaves on the layer doors then I have a cad overlay of the exact configeration on layer doors 02 , then it is quite easy by turning layers on or off to show the desired outcome.

HOWEVER THIS IS A WORK-AROUND!!  CA needs to give us better doors, and windows for that matter, to allow for all the regional variations.

  4. No slowness here with the ellison plan and you can see my computer specs are fairly old. I am running Win 7.

possible fixes other than those already offered; it is related to win 10 but unlikely, you have a faulty component within you system, have you done a memory scan?

Ramcheck or similar name you have to download the program.

I would be looking closely at you system and setting as well as CA settings.

Sorry I had no real answer.

  5. printed line weights have to also be adjusted for printer DPI output. This has been the case since CAD started (program irrelevant) when I first started with cad we were lucky if we had a printer that had a better DPI than 180, now I tend to print at 600 or even 1200 using a laser. Therefore the printed linewight in CA is lineweight x print scale (in sheet setup) x drawing scale x DPI. This IMHO is where a lot of confusion reigns.

  6. Check the setting for slab off terrain (or something like that) I usually set mine to zero and then draw the terrain splines or lines to suit relative to the floor level.

If you need to adjust the level after you can then use the same setting to adjust everything.

  7. can you be sure that the icon on desktop refers to the latest install? I had a reinstall and had to place a new shortcut as the old one did not work. R click on the exe file and choose send to desktop as a shortcut.

I feel your frustration, is it possible to do a repair installation? as you can with other cad programs. It definitely sounds like an installation problem now.  best of luck.
