Edit shadows in existing elevation camera?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone found a way to edit the shadow intensity for an existing/saved vector elevation? I changed the defaults under camera > rendering techniques, but that only seems to apply to new cameras. I'm not seeing an option to edit the shadows under 3d > edit active camera, just to turn them on and off.

Sidenote: The elevation shadows look amazing! Well done, CA.

Maybe I'm not understanding, but if you open that camera view and just either double click the little vector view icon or open the Rendering Technique Options dbx, you should be able to just adjust the shadow intensity there.

Thank you. 'Technique Options' did the trick. I knew it had to be something ridiculously simple. :)

Whew, this one threw me off as well. All the options under adjust sunlight had an effect on the shadows, like angles and tilt, but not the sun intensity.

      Hi,
I have attached a couple of screenshots to best describe my problem
Whenever I move the camera view, I get this sort of distort colouring on my walls?
      Any ideas what's causing this?

      Thanks

      Hi,
I am using Chief Architect X8 on a Mac.
I am having trouble with roof planes - I want to be able to change the baseline height but it keeps defaulting back and won't alter.
Yet when I open the same file on another computer I can change it
      Any suggestions?

      Thanks

      Hi everyone:

I am having an issue with a split level. I am using Chief X11.
The plan i posted does not have foundations since when i add those things get really weird and I think I need to sort out the issue with the levels first or the foundation will never build right. I have a room that is going to be garage however no matter how i define it the door from that room into the main house is above the level of the ceiling. see attached photo. I have also attached the plan. The exterior walls are a sip wall customized according to the manufactures specifications with a layer for the furred interior walls. The total thickness on those walls is 10 5/8" The interior wall is a customized interior wall that is load bearing for use in certain areas of the design.

We have owned a single family home for over 20 years and now are in need to legalize it from a Single Family Home to 2 units. We need to submit plans with elevation info to legalize. The home is in Oakland, CA. If you are in my area please contact me. Thank you.
