I've not had much trouble with ceilings above stairs in the past but this one is giving me fits. I hope someone can explain what I'm doing wrong. I've got a sloped ceiling plane above the living and dining area. There's a balcony (landing) that hangs over part of the living roo0m and a closet under part of the balcony. So, as the camera shows, I can't get the sloped ceiling plane to cover the stairs. There's a room divider between living and dining that I think is causing some of the problem. I'm attaching the .pln file if someone wants to take a look at it.
On a side note, how can I make the bottom stair portion open underneath and the top stair portion closed risers?

We are adding a one-story kitchen addition to the back of a house, I was thinking a sloped metal roof would look good but cannot figure how to create a different roof (or one that looks correct for this house!) on the kitchen addition jut out that looks correct. Not reflected in the attached plan is that off of the kitchen addition we will be building a covered porch. I have attached my file. Thanks for any assistance! I've looked at some of the CA videos but keep missing the mark.

Hello,
Anyone have any good tips / solutions for showing a dropped ceiling plan? I have a 12ft framed structure. Structure built to accommodate desired roof plan, want to drop ceilings in west wing of the house to 10ft. Did this in the structure tab using an insulation airgap and then built a framing layer. Auto-Built the framing, made my ceiling height at 12ft. I obviously don't need 2 sets of framing either as shown in the structure tab. Thanks! I did actually get this to work in the foyer in this plan. Not working on the rest of the house...

Hey,
I am trying to figure out how to place a beam in between the 2 walls so that the roof over hang will not jut out like this.
I am assuming i need to put a beam in here and then the roof will continue on the same plane as the rest of the roof?? but i can't figure out how to do this. Room divider does not work..
