Sweeney
Hello all, Using 2016 SketchUp Pro for some built-in details. When I try to import the file into Chief I get an error "This SKP file was created in an incompatible software version. Unable to import." Anyone else have this occur? and if so, can it be fixed? Joe_Carrick
Can you export from Sketchup to an earlier version SKP format? I think Chief likes SKP version
Sweeney
unfortunately I can't, once the model is built in the newer version of SU it can't be run in the older software. It can however work the other way, old to new.
Alaskan_Son
X8 should be able to utilize any version 15 and prior.

Alaskan_Son
I think it has to do with Chief. Its designed to work with whatever version of Sketchup was current during the time they wrote the necessary code. X7 probably only worked with versions 14 and prior, X5 only worked with the versions 13 and prior, X4 with versions 8 and prior and so on. Or at least roughly.
