Staircase Does Not Appear On The Upper Floor

Recommended Posts

I have created a staircase going from the 1st floor to the 2nd. All seems to line up correctly, but when on the 2nd floor, the stairs do not appear even though the room type has sucessfully changed to Open Below. :(

Thanks in advance for the help. :)

Thank you for the quick reply. I don't have that option however. I am using X2, but it worked fine before I must have done something wrong.

I have tried creating a whole new plan for testing, and every staircase I make is not visible on the upper floor. Even if I just create a solid that should go through to the upper floor, and have the upper floor as "Open below", the same happens. Only a white space appears. So my guess is the plan doesn't necessarily contain errors; there must be an option I am overlooking. I am still at a loss here though. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using a floor camera or a full camera?  In X2, floor cameras will not show anything above or below the floor you are on.  In X7, floor cameras have the option of showing the floors below them (as shown by Perry in his post).  Full cameras will always show the whole model (except what is hidden through layers).

I was using the perspective floor overview, but with full camera I can see it :D .
But I've used the perspective floor overview before and it used to show it too, but now it doesn't.

I have designed a pergola and a deck. I cannot get the terrian to show right. It needs to be zero of level at back of deck by pool deck and slowly slope down to a bayou. it needs to be 36" to grade at edge of outer deck Then a stair going down to the end of stair which is around 5 fr lower that top of deck. I have not did much terrian and would appreciate your help. This is just a remodeling and adding a deck from the pool.

      Thank  you,

The living room offers a peek to the upstairs living area via the stairway. The glass panel railings and open concept design create a mechanism for the big windows on the first floor and the high shed windows on the 2nd floor to collaborate on the sharing of light and air between floors.

An end-to-end view of the colonial interior.
We added ball-top newels and decorative balusters to the stairs, and even a period appropriate handrail, so it would really speak to the style. Elements like these are available from the Arcways Stairs downloadable catalog.
