How do I lock building heights?

I am wondering if there is a way or feature to lock an entire building from making edits.  Currently working on a project with two separate buildings with different foundations and elevations.  I am trying to adjust one of the buildings only in order to create a breezeway connecting the two.  When I adjust elevations or adjust the roof everything in the project adjusts.  Not sure if there is a feature that allows me to lock a building and editing another.

I'm not sure why your elevations would change, once you change the floor/ceiling elevation of one, that will no longer be using the defaults and should not auto change.

What you probably have to do is once changing the one floor elevations on one, continue to then change the other floors on the same one. i.e. make the one house the one with all the custom elevations, and leave the other with the defaults

Maybe some more detail on exactly what is being changed and what is being affected.
