Quick Question about Chief Premier Stair Tools

I have a situation working for a mainly modular company (we do some stick built, but much more modular).

My Problem is a Basement Stairway in a 12' Box configuration (I assume you understand what i mean by a 12' modular "box") Starting from the "Marriage" wall extending towards the Foundation Wall

(ie. from the center of the house to the outside wall)

 

These Stairs Cannot be built by traditional standards. And Yes, we do have SOME modular allowances, but not that much.

I have decided to try Angled Risers (per IRC 2021 R311.7.5.1) 

 

"Risers shall be vertical or sloped from
the underside of the nosing of the tread above at an
angle not more than 30 degrees (0.51 rad) from the
vertical."

 

So my question is :  Can Chief Premier do Angled Risers ?  or will I be doing this in a 2d detail ?

I am currently using HDP 2025 (which i know cannot do this), but will be upgrading to x18 within a week or 2, and just curious .....

Yes, but it's a little tricky.

• Specify tread detph as 8.5"  (General)
• Specify tread overhang as 3  (Style)
• Specify "Open Risers"  (Style)

You might need to adjust those dimensions a bit but it will essentially make the stairs steeper while maintaining a total tread depth of 11.5".  I

You can play with those values as needed.  

 

Assuming you will need a maximum length of about 84" (or 77" with a landing at the bottom) adjusting the numbers for treads, riser heights, top and bottom heights, etc will all have an effect.

Not your question, but, if your treads are min. 11" IRC does not require nosing (therefore eliminating the need for the angled riser)

Thank you @Joe_Carrick I've considered doing it like that, it would be nicer if the stair tool would allow angled risers though.

When adjusting the values you should note that a 30 degree riser should result in a Rise Angle of 45 degrees.  That will make it easier to set the overhang (about 4" for a 7" riser height.)
