Convert roof with living space below into barn style roof

Hello, 

 

     I have a project going with a client  where there have been many, many changes.  First floor garage, 2nd floor living space, 3rd floor living space created with "ignore top floor" with loft/walkway providing access to bedrooms. Client wants to change 12/12 pitch roof to gambrel style for looks and to provide more headroom on loft/walkway.  I can make a test roof convert from 12/12 to gambrel, but not when there are interior walls that connect to exterior on the new floor.  Do I need to delete the entire 3rd floor and start over? 

 

Many details still need cleaning and it suffers from the 1000 changes syndrome. Here is a link:

You can do it without starting over, I couldn't get the front gable to cut in to the gambrel roof to be open inside the room. I had auto-build roofs on for the gambrels and then adjusted the front gable and the deck roofs. Hop this helps.

Is this what you had in mind?

 

 

 

This was done by changing the existing roof pitches of the exterior walls to match the height of the interior walls, after pulling the ridge back to the interior walls, and then adding roof planes to the new ridges and lowering the pitch.   I did one side them reflected that side over the center of the distance between the exterior walls.
