ChiefUserAnneC
I'm a Residential Interior Designer who has been using CA for 9 years. I'd like to make my interior renderings more accuratley represent the furniture pieces i'm designing with. Does it make sense to use Sketchup and the Sketchup libraries to build the furniture piece I want and then import it to CA? My original thought was to build the whole room in sketchup but that seems like duplicate work since I can use CA for floorplans. Thanks,
joey_martin
Yes. The IDs that work in my office go to the 3D warehouse all the time to get furniture and various pieces. You can simply drag and drop from Sketchup directly into a plan you are working on to save time.

MarkMc
I learned how to make most things in Chief. On occasion for a drafting client, when the Mfg had the items available in Revit, I would use that. First time used a trial version for free. After would activate it for a month of use which was inexpensive enough.
