ACADuser
I would like the wall material to show only the material inside that room. Can that be done? The exterior walls display stucco which I do not want to see in the schedule.
PitMan71
I see this when I have a dormer in a room. For some reason it shows the interior walls and exterior wall finish in the schedule. Is that what you mean?
ACADuser
Not all rooms do this? [Edit] I just sent it to tech support. Edited Sunday at 01:58 PM by ACADuser
Joe_Carrick
This can happen when there are multiple wall types surrounding the room, including pony walls. In your case, it's the wall with the lable "STUCCO THIS SIDE". Check that wall definition - maybe reverse the wall layers. Personally I don't use that column simply because of this. Instead I use "Wall Schedules" which can have macros to display all the wall layers. Edited Sunday at 02:35 PM by Joe_Carrick
ACADuser
Thanks Joe, I've messed with the 3 wall intersection with no luck. You solution will solve my problem.
ACADuser
Joe, How do you deal with a wall type that has 3.5" sound insulation in it? The project I'm doing, small laser studio, has mostly insulated partitions. So I have a wall type for that.
PitMan71
Im curious what tech support says. It's irritating to me to have to throw the baby out with the bathwater. in this case people will avoid using an entire column because it can't be relied on to provide the information needed. If there is a nuance surrounding a certain room feature, I'm am totally okay with it so long as we have the ability to override it. Fix it and be done instead on taking what seems like hours to track something down.

The problem's that there's no column for individual walls of a room. If there was at least 4: North or 1 East or 2 South or 3 West or 4 It would be possible to have a fully functional Finish Schedule. You can have custom fields for those and manually assign the values for each room. It's a little more work but the Schedule would be more interesting.
