AnkhRea
Hello, I am new with CA. I want to make a window that start from floor level and add a railing directly in the window frame as on the photo. (No balcony) I didn't find how to do it. Every time I am using the railing tool, my windows disappeared. I tried to wider the frame. Can someone help me... PitMan71
A few steps. 1. add your railing out in front of your window. you will move it into place later. 2. Change The railing to a Furred Wall underneath the structure panel. this will keep it from trying to merge with the adjacent wall. 3. move it into the brick cavity. You will need to hold your free moving button so it will allow you to place it with giving you an error. For me on a Mac that is the command button. 4. drag the ends to fit. 5. click the "No Locate" radio box on the general tab. This should keep it from getting dimensioned somehow. JKEdmo
Juliette Balcony. How about doing it as a door shutter? Result seems pretty dang good: 1) Slider door. 2) Select railing from library as the shutter type. Shutter on one side only. 3) Tweak shutter settings for desired result.

joey_martin
Simply draw a length of railing the size you want and convert it to a symbol. Now you can place it anywhere, anytime without any workaround, simply a symbol.
