What I would do in this situation is put two barn doors together and do a panel offset on one to bring it out a little further than the other door say like 3". Funny, there was a post back in August about this which I made a similar suggestion to yours. Totally forgot - I must be losing my mind! It's basically a workaround -- a combination of two barn doors and a door opening. I hope Chief considers adding this feature to barn doors.
