Moldings around 3D solids

Hello all,

The attached photo is from an entertainment center I crafted from 3D solids. I wanted to add a crown molding around the header. I was able to use the molding line tool to place a crown molding strip at the top but cannot for the life of me figure out how to get it to wrap around the corners. I added individual molding lines on the side but they end up not marrying up correctly on the corners. I also tried converting the entire EC to various symbols to see if the molding option would open up on it like it does for cabinets with no luck. Anyone have any tips for this? Thanks!

To add to Joe's comment. I was doing this the other day at the top of a roof where it intersected a wall. I wanted to have a wall trim. It took me FOREVER! but i found out you want to add the modeling polyline in plan view first. then add the profile. then in elevation view adjust heights. If you try and use 3D its much more difficult to control snaps and work planes.

Overall, I'm finding that you want to stay away from 3D and any neat 21's century tools with this program. It will eat up the clock for minimal improvement. A simple note with a line sometime is better than 2 hours of messing with a clunky tool. keep it simple until the very end of the project.
