Furred wall missing parts

Has anyone run into this before? I've drawn a bump-out for a fireplace and the wall is doing this...

I'd be curious to see a couple of things:

• What's the room definition of the living room.  (How are the ceilings set, how are the floors set, etc..)
• What's the room definition of the "fireplace".  (How are the ceilings set, how are the floors set, etc..)
• How is the fireplace built.  (Is it a whole block, is it built as a "room", is it just firred walls and an opening, etc..)

You can attach the plan and we can dissect it a little and help you out with some of these things.

Select the wall or walls for the fireplace bumpout and find and select the setting for Balloon Through Ceiling Above. Those wall 'chunks' are probably improperly connected attic walls.
