Line Weight Help

Not sure what's happened but when I zoom in on a plan view, my line weights seem much heavier than usual. This is not just on one plan - it's all of my plans old and new. I don't think I've changed any settings and tbh I wouldn't even know where to change something like this.

 

Any idea how to revert this?

1. The first thing to check is that the view is using the correct layer set.
2. Drawing Sheet Setup: If you have changed the Drawing Scale, this will affect the appearnace of line weights.
3. Drawing Sheet Setup: If you have changed the Advanced Line Weight Options, this will affect the appearance of line weights.

Open Help and paste 'Drawing Sheet Setup Dialog'

I've actually never even opened this dialog box before lol. Everything was fine on Friday. Opened Chief this morning and everything looks off.

 

These are the settings when I open a new plan - not sure if what's there is default/typical. I've fiddled with them but can't seem to get it back to where it was.

I'd suggest opening a slightly older plan and comparing the settings to the plan in question.

You could also post those files here so someone can investigate your settings to help identify the specific issue. If you don't want to post the files in the forum, you could PM me a dropbox or Google Drive link to download them and inspect. Again, best to sompare an older plan that looks correct with the plan in question.

Sounds like your Lineweights toggle is turned on.

Hi Caitlin,

My apologies to you and all of your country. We are trying. 

There is a control to turn line weights on and off under tools as well as a toolbar icon like Shane said. 

There is a control for print preview under file > print and an icon as well. Both will turn them on and off while drawing.
