Exterior Wall Material Different BELOW abutting roof

Morning all...

See the attached. On the left side of this home there is a gable above which a new wall is being added. I need the exterior wall area below the roof line to be brick, while above remaining siding. I thought I could figure this out but I am not having any luck.

if it is just for looks, fastest might be a wall material region. although that may not look that great in a black and white elevation

I did... I have used this before and it worked perfectly. Only thing I haven't done is create a new drawing and see if it still does it. I didn't start this drawing so I don't know what settings are lurking about that might be contributing to this.

 

I submitted a ticket on it too.

Apparently the Abutting roof tool only works for walls on the interior of the home. Bummer.

I changed the offending wall to have a brick pony wall below and then manipulated the pony wall heights in 3D elevation.  Here's the result below.  Give it a try.
