sea_lyons
This is how my elevation looks on the Layout file (Scale 3"-1') Here's what it looks like on the generated PDF. Lines are way too thick and you can see all the little point markers I put in (the little dots - those are at 1/16"). Is there a setting I'm missing here or is this just because of the scale? DBCooper
Did you send it to layout as a live view or as plot lines? I usually use plot lines so I am not sure how and when the live views update the line weights. Do you have line weights turned on when you are looking at the layout? If not, then you won't be able to tell what they will look like when sent to a pdf or printed.
VHampton
That's a line weight issue for sure. Chief often has a heavy default. Do a shift select on those dimensions strings which shouldn't be any greater than 16. This is a preference (of mine) in that I like them to be a tad less heavy so that they don't overwhelm the drawings - especially details. All of the default line weights can be changed by going to EDIT ----> Default Settings... ---->Dimensions Also... when in doubt, use this preview tool (in Layout). It'll show the "heaviness" of certain lines before printing.
