MonikaMerchant
Hello, I decided to use smaller crown on this cabinet, and am wanting to fill the new gap under it by making the top door taller. All the components beneath the door are locked but it keeps resizing the door below. I think I need to unlock the top most horizontal separation so that hopefully the increased dimension fills in upward, but the "Lock from Auto-Resize" is grayed out. I have searched the internet and cannot figure out why. Would love any help!
DBCooper
As far as I know, separations won't auto resize. You can either manually set the height of the separation or change it to a blank area.
GaryOhmer
I think you'd have better luck using 2 cabinets - after you get them like you want make them an architecrtual block
MonikaMerchant
Ok, I just realized the solution was to make the entire cabinet larger, and adjust the vertical offset for the crown!
DBCooper
@GaryOhmer Is there a reason you like to use 2 cabinets for a situation like this? Unless I was going to actually use 2 stacked cabinets IRL, I think it is much easier and more accurate to just use one cabinet.
GaryOhmer
a lot of times the home owner wants glass doors on upper and solid on lowers
DBCooper
You do realize that you can do that with one cabinet? Actually, any cabinet can have as many different door styles as you have doors. https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00040/using-different-door-styles-on-a-single-cabinet.html
