suhrdesign
I have a design I've been developing in X16 over the last couple of weeks and have already created elevation wall views. For some reason the symbols have disappeared in the floor plan view and when I go to create an elevation wall view it starts at Elevation 6, indicating the other elevation views are still there. Get this, the new Elevation symbol does show up - so strange! What I've tried: 3D / View Defaults / selected "always display active cameras" Checked all my cameras are checked or selected under the layers settings (and they are) Closing the plan and re-opening in case it was a glitch of some kind Any other suggestions??? TIA!!!
DBCooper
If you don't actually save the camera after you create a new view, then it can go away automatically when you close the view. Check your project browser and see if they are still there. If they are, you can right click on it and use "edit view" to see what layer they are on and then check to see if that layer is turned on the current layer set for your floor plan view. If you still have them in the plan, and the layer is turned on, then they may be off the screen or hidden by some other object. If none of that helps, post the plan. suhrdesign
Thank you for your help! Yes, I typically save the "active view" for elevations but I failed to do that this time. The stance part is that it's starting at elevation 6. as if the original 5 are still there. The only elevation showing up in the project browser is the new elevation (elevation 6). I can just recreate them but how do I get it back to elevation 1,2,3, etc rather than starting at elevation 6? Thank you!
suhrdesign
I think I figured it out! There was one elevation in another area that was saved (elevation 5) and so it was continuing with elevation 6. I deleted that elevation and then it restarted the numbering at 1. But on that point, I have had occasionally needed to change the numbering on the elevations in order to add an additional view in a particularly room....say add elevation 6 to a kitchen, but I have 12 elevations on the first floor. Chief of course wants to create it as elevation 13 and I want it to be elevation 7. Any tips or tricks on how change the numbers/labels without actually recreating all the elevations for the main floor beyond elevation 6?
Joe_Carrick
Rename the elevations in the Project Browser Kitchen Elevation 1 Kitchen Elevation 2 Kitchen Elevation 3 Kitchen Elevation 4 Office Elevation 1 Office Elevation 2 Office Elevation 3 Office Elevation 4 etc
