Chad-S
I am new to Chief Architect. I am having a problem with lines showing up in my elevation view when I use the auto roof return tool. I have attached a .png file for someone to look at. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong? I have searched the forums for my problem but could not fine any answers for my question. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Solution DavidJPotter Posted March 14, 2015 Solution Share Posted March 14, 2015 I have used Chief Premier for over 20 years. It always tends to add or subtract lines randomly. It has improved over the years but is still not "perfect". The "Saving Grace" is a tool that allows you to add, alter or delete lines at will once a view is sent to layout. It is called the "Edit Layout" tool, that is what you use to clean up lines that are missed or unwanted from a layout view (does not work on plan views but only isometric vector view renders, cross section and elevation vector camera views sent to layout. You have not done anything "wrong", rather you are just learning what Chief does and does not do and what you can do about it. DJP
Chad-S
Thanks for your help. I'm glad to know that it wasn't all me causing the issue. That will help me out. Your response is greatly appreciated.
joey_martin
When you add roof returns there is a box that allows you to extend the return out a little. Add a couple inches to the return extension so that those lines will go away, and so that it will modeled as it will be built.
