how to transfer custom toolbars to new computer running x14

I have read the toolbar backup instructions, but I seem to be doing something wrong.  I am trying to copy my custom toolbar configuration from one pc running x14 to a new computer running x14.  I have access to the old pc and the unchanged x14 version.

To backup my toolbars (such as to a thumb drive), do I just copy the "toolbars" file from chief architect data file and then paste into the new computer at the same location? or do I copy/paste certain files from the toolbars file?     Also, there seems to be some procedure to "switch to" extended toolbar configuration.

Thanks for your help.  Brian

You can indeed copy and paste a toolbar - and/or the entire Toolbar folder.

Drop it into the Chief Architect Premier X14 Data folder.

Once that takes place... open the version that you're working with (X-14)

Go to > Toolbars ----> Customize Toolbars ----> Configurations.

The Import tab will navigate to the primary Data folder where the newly imported version can be selected.

Import the new one.   Good luck... It should be relatively easy.

...There may be other methods, but this one works well.
