SDeckB Posted May 19, 2023 Share Posted May 19, 2023 Hello I am trying to learn the material list and all her glory and have a pretty simple question. I've got a 2x10x30 highlighted below. The max length I'd like these to go is 16'. I don't have a 2x10x30 available in the strucutural member defaults. Is there a way to set this to it won't use a 30' board there or should I "install" the boards at the correct length when drawing the framing? Thank you in advance! javatom Posted May 19, 2023 Share Posted May 19, 2023 Under the build structure tab there will be an option to mark the location of a bearing wall. The joist will then break at that point into 2 shorter lengths. You might have to tell the defaults to NOT align the joists at the break point.
