jeremys
I purchased the Vehicles No.2 Utility from the 3D Library earlier today and wanted to drop a shipping container into one of my plans. However, none of the containers in the list are plain old "normal" containers. They either (oddly) have a wall section (the object title calls "...door open") removed from the side of the container, or a french glass door installed into the side of the container. My question is, (because I'm hitting the Delete button on my keyboard or trying to right-click and nothing is happening) can a user delete Component/Material lines from the Materials tab in the Fixture Specification window to remove things from an object? I'm running Home Designer Pro 2023 on a Mac
Chopsaw
No sorry it does not work that way. Technically you could delete the door using another more complex method but then you would be left with a hole in the side of container. Not the same as using the program the way it was designed to build houses where if you delete a door then you have a wall that fills in the hole. Try the 3D Warehouse... https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search/?q=shipping container&searchTab=model Also you will find answers specific to your software at the Home Designer forum... https://hometalk.chiefarchitect.com/ However you can't do that in the Premier software so it certainly won't work with HD Pro. Think of the material as simply the paint or wallpaper pattern and not the object.
