Alternating width plank siding

I've searched over all materials in the library and in bonus libraries unable to find a wall material that alternates between skinny and wide planks. The closest material I can find is the "Board and Batten" siding which has fixed skinny battens and wide boards. I know about sizing the image but what I'd really like to find is a material that I can control for both plank sizes--say, 4" & 8", or 3" & 6", or 2" & 7", etc. Anyone have suggestions? Thanks, Tony.

You could always place material regions over your walls in an elevation view at the designation you would like and then take a screen capture and paste back as a material

You can make a texture by using a rendered image of a modeled surface using Chief.

Here's a bit of an example: I created a model of siding boards using 3d solids and spaced them with 7" and 3" exposures. I then replicated them up the wall in 10" increments. The 3d solids were painted a material to resemble a single siding board.

I then rendered a image of the wall and cropped it so it would be seamless. I then created a new material using the cropped image as the texture file. It took about as long to create the texture as it did to type this up!

      Good afternoon,

I'm looking for a way to change a texture image. Not sure if there is a free photoshop type of program that can be used.
I would like to achieve the flagstone with a Natural Red / Brown Granite texture, and the fill between to be a Gravel texture.

      thanks in advanced!

      Hello,
I would like to use a metal siding similar to this picture, and I can't find a similar material in CA. The closest I see is vertical paneling. I can adjust the angle so it's horizontal and change the scale for wider boards, but I don't know how to get rid of the wood grain look and change it to a metal texture. Any advice on a material texture that would work well?

Also, does anybody know what this type of large scale horizontal metal siding is called? Perhaps there is more information on Chief Talk already, but I didn't know what to search for since I don't know the technical name for this material. Thanks so much!

Anyone up and able to give me some advice on getting this Quartzite imported material(second screen shot) to look more like the slab (first screen shot) I've taken it from? Third screenshot is my Library material.

Hi, I'm a new Chief Architect user. I'm still in training and can't figure out this issue. My pattern texture isn't showing up in my Elevation Views. Something must be toggled off because this is affecting all of my materials not just the siding, I just don't know what it could be. The siding has the preset "Hatch" pattern Chief Architect has already, I attached a screen shot of the  Define Material dialog box too. Thanks in advance!
