Doug_N
My client provided me with a CVS file with Northing, Easting, and Elevation information. Is there a way to import that to make a CA topo model in the terrain? The files provided where a flat AutoCAD file and a CVS terrain elevation file. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Chopsaw
Doug that should import ok if you dump the Description column. Maybe do that in excel first.

Chopsaw
Stuff like this sometimes makes me wonder what is going on.
Doug_N
Some of the elevations are for things like power lines, trees etc. I suppose I will need to sort out the ones that are problematic.
Chopsaw
SIB is usually Standard Iron Bar 1x1x48". Does it make sense they are all in a cluster ?
Doug_N
Yes SIB is standard iron bar. This is what my imported file looks like. The plan file is my imported and adjusted terrain, the PDF is the surveyor's topographical. Untitled 3.plan P2021-099_TOPO_10-12-2021.pdf

Maybe only three or four more points to sort out that do not belong ? It may help to connect the SIB's with plot lines to keep you oriented. Did you import as # X Y Z Description (comma delimited) and Metric ?
Doug_N
Hi Chopsaw, Yes that is exactly what I did. Maybe I should limit the terrain to the SIB values for X and Y

I think # Y X Z Description (comma delimited) gives you the correct orientation. Any Idea what the UGV is at the NE corner because that may explain the missing SIB ? "Under Ground Vault" perhaps ?
