Disappearing Ceiling Lights

Strange issue. In a certain area of my kitchen plan ceiling lights disappear in camera view but not on floorplan. I can drag a light into that area and it disappears, As you can see in attached .jpgs there is a ceiling fan and pedant light that show up on floor plan and not in the camera view. In fact , as noted above, if I drag one of the pendant lights that do show up just outside of that area into that area they disappear from camera view. Can't find any hidden objects that may be obscuring them. Offset from ceiling is set to 0. No soffit in that area. They don't appear on floor above or below. Closed and reopened program, no change. Using X12. Been using Chief for 13 years and haven't run across this before.  Any ideas.

Post the plan for a more educated answer, but I'm guessing your fixtures are attaching to a ceiling plane above.

Third tip.  Use the glass house rendering mode and have a look around to see if you locate the item.  There are a couple of ceiling fans that are not set correctly as well as a common pendant light.

Using glass house view I found that the missing lights were in the attic above the 2nd floor. I have no idea why.

Walls>General Wall>Connect Island Rooms.  This setting should really be left on.  Its the island chases behind your kitchen causing the problem.

I'd forgotten about the island room issues.  Haven't had to draw one in a while.
