Catalog uploads

I have X12 and X13 beta on my computer. When trying to upload a catalog to X12 (and is the X12 download) while working in X12 Premier , X13 opens and the catalogs only upload to it. I do not want to save my designs in the X13 because the warning comes up that if you do, the files will not open in previous versions. 

Any help, suggestions or guidance as to what I am doing wrong?

There should not be any issue manually importing library catalogs into X12  Library > Import Library.

 

Also the point of making X13 beta available to the public is for testing purposes so unless there is an issue why not use it.  You can make a copy of your X12 files and label the original as x12 and the copy as x13 and work with the copy in X13.  If you forget to do that X13 will archive an X12 version of the file for you just incase you need to go back.

There are 2 ways to handle this after downloading:

1. Open your downloads folder and select "Open With" > Chief Architect X12
2. In Chief Architect X12 select "File>Import Library" browse to the downloaded file.
