link Library symbols to hotkey

Can you tell me how to link library symbols to hot keys?  I either forgot how, or it isn't possible.  I want to link an exhaust fan, ceiling fan, chandalier, smoke and carbonmonoxide detectors to hot keys.  Possible?  If so, how.  Thanks

Not so sure you can have those on hot keys but you can set them up on a Library Object toolbar.

There really should not be any reason that once you set up the Library Object tool that you could apply a hot key to it.

 

That might make a good suggestion for an up coming version.

Thanks Chopsaw!  I will do this and add it as a suggestion.  Is there a way to add a ChiefTalk forum thread to the suggestion box directly.  If not, then that would be a suggestion I would make to Chief Architect.

Yes that would be great. You can just highlight and copy the link in your browser to reference the whole thread or there is a little tool in the top right of each comment to link one of those specifically.
