Looking for an X1 hardware lock

anyone have an old hardware lock that I could purchase for X1?

Currently, legally licensed users of Chief cannot legally sell a hardware lock to another as that is part of their license holding contract with Chief Inc. If they sell you the hardware lock, they are also selling you their right to use ANY version of Chief Architect Premier. Your best shot is to communicate to Chief Architect Customer Service to perhaps replace your broken or lost hardware lock. Find out what is actually legal and within existing agreements and laws.

CA doesn't carry or sell old hardware locks

 

it is illegal to sell a lock if the software has been upgraded

 

however, they can be donated for the cost of mailing only

 

I have already donated my X1 lock - but perhaps someone else would be willing

 

the donor should be able to verify with CA that you have a valid license

 

if you fail to find a donor

 

I would suggest looking here and on ebay for a used license to buy 

but I would recommend getting X4 or later as the current library system was created then

plus X4 offered anno-sets

 

another choice is to do the rent-to-own policy CA offers for a brand new X12 license

HD Pro 2021 is also very capable ( $500) depending you your needs and can also be rented for $50 a month I believe ( you'll need to confirm that )
