APTArchitect
I would like to change the fabric material for this barstool (Lincoln, attached file) separate from the wood frame material. The item only has one material choice. I tried to export as a DWG, but that did not work. Anybody know if and how this can be accomplished? Working with CA x12. lincoln.calibz
Chopsaw
Yes Michael did a great video of that a while back. It can also be done in Sketchup. 1
robdyck
You can alter this by using 2 copies of the same symbol. use the delete surface tool to remove all the faces of the seat. Then, convert this to a new symbol and place. use the delete surface tool to remove all the faces of the frame. robdyck
This symbol will probably be easier to modify in sketchup. The frame has so many unnecessary faces.

It is not so bad Rob you can just turn the smoothing angle way up before using the delete surfaces tool. Not sure Michael covered that in the video I posted.
