pjbuilder
I'm having an issue with the way the lighting in a basement remodel plan. Not looking for perfection just trying to get rid of the bright lights. Not explaining it very well but when you see this raytrace , you'll get the idea. Joe_Carrick
I didn't open your plan, but it would appear that the light source is in the wrong location for many of your can lights. ie: they are located just above the floor instead of at or above the ceiling. That's not normal as they should be a part of the fixture.
Chiefer
Adjust UV Roughness to 100% or change Material Class to General Material. If you want a bright ceiling use Ambient Occlusion instead of Uniform Intensity.
keithhe
Joe and Jintu are the experts, but I simply changed the hardwood from a "polished" to general material and makes a huge difference. I suspect to must have changed it to polished which is the problem. Way too reflective that way.
pjbuilder
Thanks for the help. Changing the floor to matte and/or general materials worked great.
