ChiefJSHomesInc
Question for you all about text or dimension. When you are drawing a floor system for instance and I add text - it always defaults to the "text" layer - but I have a text layer set up as "text floor joists" - how do you have it default to that layer? Same question would apply with dimensions.
javatom
Create layer sets that are specific to that view and make an annotation set that applies text to that layer. You can then set up a plan view set that uses just those layers when you send it to the layout.

Open them one by one and place proper text. For arrows, Text Line with Arrow drawn with its tail end snapped to a text object will be placed on the same layer as the text object and inherit all of that layer’s attributes
