kwhitt
I'm modeling an as-built that requires a box window. The framers forced the window to fit into the box and butchered the vertical casing as shown in the first photo. I am unable to recreate this in CA as it won't let me make the window any wider which I was hoping would force the casing into the wall thereby making it appear to be cut. I changed the rough opening on the sides to zero. This allowed me to increase the width a bit, but still not wide enough. Is there any way to override the max window width while using a box window or another workaround? Much thanks, Kevin
javatom
Try the default settings under the plan heading. Upper part of that dbx check "ignore casing for opening size".
kwhitt
Tom - thanks for the reply. That, however, is not working. It still has a max width that I cannot exceed.

Alaskan_Son
By the way, just as a side note, I personally pretty rarely use the box and bay window tools. They're quick and easy for basic scenarios sometimes, but for anything out of the ordinary, I commonly find the need to just model them manually using walls, windows, room definitions, etc. 1

kwhitt
Eric - moving the window seems to work too. Thanks for the suggestion!
