How to use terrain feature for different pool levels

How do you create different level depths when designing pools with terrain feature? How do you add beach entries and step transitions into pool side by side? Pool entry starts at FG, slopes/drops to 3' and drops/slopes to 6'. How do you make the transition to appreciate it in the render and for cross sections.

You will have to build the pool out of solids using the Boolean operations.  Then make it a symbol that creates a hole in the terrain.  The water can be a thin semi-transparent surface with a water texture.

It can also be done with Foundation Walls and "rooms" with ceiling heights making the "depth" , for a sloping floor you may need to use a Ramp though.

 

I don't think Terrain Features will show in a Cross Section well ( if at all???) which is why I did it this way.........
