rockyshepheard
I can rotate an imported object only around the z axis (in the x,y plane) How can I rotate it round the x axis in the y,z plane)? The only option I see for rotation is setting the x,y rotation center. Thanks!
rlackore
You can always open the Symbol, and rotate it with 3D>Rotation:
tommy1
Keep in mind that sometimes when you rotate the object as mentioned, it sometimes will throw off how it appears in plan view vs 3D views. If so, you'll have to make an adjustment on the origins of the symbol. If you have troubles with this, let me know and we'll do an online meeting. rockyshepheard
Thanks Rlacklore...I don't see this option under the 3D pull down menu. I am using X10.

tommy1
He was trying to lay down a specific railing flat on the ground (not upright). Had to explain that the railing is a wall and not a symbol. I had to copy that short railing to a blank plan>convert to symbol> place in library> then he could rotate it to lie flat on the ground. He also had a problem with a roof plane that he has a symbol for to fix it but without looking at the original roof plane settings, I would guess that he has the sub fascia setting wrong and was therefore losing the fascia and gutter.
