Why isn't roof cutting off attic wall? [SOLVED]

Recommended Posts

This is a second floor addition to an existing house. I am struggling to find why the roof isn't cutting off the portion of the attic wall above the walkway. If I select the attic wall, the highlighted area shows the correct triangular gable, but there is still a portion protruding above the roof. Any suggestions?

I did not load your plan but I have seen this before.  It can happen if the baseline of the roof is too low relative to the ceiling of the room under it.  The attic wall gets confused.

Make the front wall of the porch the same as the front wall of the garage, only invisible.

Go to the 2nd floor and delete the gable wall -- the program will rebuild it correctly.

my solution was to delete wall in 3d ,  wall auto came back but too short so then drag the left end out to the left and that worked without needing the invisible wall.

That's actually what I did the first time, but I did it in a plan view. Maybe it works differently in a 3D view.
