CA-User
Everytime I change a room to a deck, it changes the deck, but puts a slab under it. Can anyone tell me why this is happening? It must be a foundation setting but I can't see what is happening. Also, we do mainly raised homes, so I am trying to set up a default floor system that has the internal setting, but the deck posts. I copied the Deck setting and modified it but it still puts a slab. Until now, I have been using a slab and putting a 1mm thick setting, and adding posts manually. RL-inc
It is probably in your plan defaults for deck rooms- Default settings> Rooms> Deck Room Edit deck and deck support dialogs. Also fill out you signature as I and others have so we know what version you are using.
Kbird1
Do you have your Foundation set to Automatically build a Monolithic Slab Foundation? Build>Floor>Build Foundation> Also, as Rob mentioned, it's good to have your Forum Signature filled in please, especially with the Software Version, and of course a Name is nice too ..............see mine below in Blue for how to do that. CA-User
OK. I've worked it out. But I've noticed two things: * the beams aren't spread to the edges of the main non-deck rooms. Is there a way to have them calculated from the edges inwards? * I cant change the default settings for the Deck so it automatically adds a deck. Does anyone know how to do this? I've switched over from HDP and CA settings are a lot more complicated.
CA-User
I've just noticed that these beams don't reach through the second level below. It may be getting a bit complicated for the program?
