myrtsbnye
I am creating a curved roof over an entry and would like to know if there is a way to adjust both angles (eave and ridge or even the radius). Now when I adjust one the other angle and radius automatically adjusts to a number that I can't work with in this case. This roof starts as a 3/12 standard roof for 3' then curves up to the gable wall. I split the roof in two horizontally and have the first portion a standard 3/12 sloped roof and then the upper second portion to be curved. So, I would want the angle at the curve at the "eave" (in this case the intersection of the two slopes) to match the lower 3/12 slope (approx 14 deg) and have the angle at the ridge to be 30 deg. When I set the angle of the eave at 14 then set the angle at the ridge to 30 then angle at the eave changes to -1.9 degs. When I change one the other changes automatically. Is there a way to lock one angle like there is to lock slope and heights of a standard sloped roof?
javatom
I think what you are going for will require the curved part of the roof to be set to a steeper pitch. Try 12 then play with the radius until it gives you the look you are going for.
glennw
Are you looking for something like this. If not, post a sketch.
javatom
That goes to show you the importance of communication. I interpreted it more like the dormer on this house. Now I'm not sure what the op wants.
