chief58
make your sub fascia the size of your facia or if you want it recessed a little make it shorter
REMDES
Chop & Ray, Fascia and sub fascia are the same size. The image is showing the soffit at the gable in line with the ceiling inside the room( rafters are 11 7/8" TJI.....) I cannot make it go away even if I reframe the roof with 2x6 rafters. Thanks
Chopsaw
When I opened the file it is not as extreme as your image in first post and all fascia and sub fascia is set to 5 1/2" which leaves the edge of the soffit exposed. The soffit sits on the bottom of the sub fascia so I would recommend as Ray did to make your fascia larger than your sub fascia if you want to hide the seam. Also your porch rooms that are under the overhangs should be set to "Use Soffit surface for Ceiling" or they will interfere. That should still work fine with your 11.875 TJI's. Outside wall of the living room needs to be reset to it's default top height also.
