hrdorlando
Hi All ... just upgraded to Chief Interiors. Love it. But having a bit of an issue getting the ceiling color to read correctly in Ray Trace. Doing a Holiday Inn which requires something other than white on their ceilings for brand I am working on. I have a floor lamp, night stand lamp and table lamp in the room. I have put general lighting overhead, but there will be no overhead lights in actuality. The ceiling is reading dark gray. Any help will be appreciated.
EricWMLim
Hi, Did you turn on photon mapping in your Ray Trace? Turning it on helps to brighten up the ceiling.
hrdorlando
Thank you. No, I had not tried that. Will try now and see if it helps display the soft blue vs. grey.
TheKitchenAbode
You may also try changing the ceiling paint material properties to "General" and adding a bit of "Emissivity" to it. Obtaining accurate color reproduction can be tricky, keep in mind that how a color appears is dictated by the light, direct and indirect, that it receives. You may need to add some 3D lights to make sure the ceiling is being sufficiently lit to render correctly.
hrdorlando
Tried turning the Photo On in settings for Ray Trace and the ceiling still reads gray. I am attaching standard camera view and ray trace file. Any other thoughts? Trying to get the ceiling to read the soft blue for the IHG brand standard. Many thanks.
